WE HAVE RECEIVED A STATE OF MICHIGAN ART GRANT!
See more info here! Restoration of Chelsea's Art Mosaic of Reflection, Beauty & Grace. The mosaic, created in 2003, is in need of repair due to time, vandalism, and neglect. Take a look to see how you can be part of this community art project. Our committee is meeting to organize the timeline and plan.
The City of Chelsea will name the new B2B trailhead after local fallen hero and Purple Heart recipient, Captain Joel C. Gentz of the United States Air Force.
Joel was a Chelsea native and Boy Scout who loved outdoor activities like hiking and backpacking. After his 2002 graduation, he attended Purdue University while also participating in their Air Force ROTC program.

The B2B passes around and through TimberTown making it a perfect location for a new trailhead for all walkers and bikers. The infrastructure (slated for spring 2025) part of the project isn't the most glamorous, but it carries a heavy load! Elements include paved parking (so more cars will fit) and lighting (to extend the park's hours of use and to deter vandalism).
